xx-travel. Turning a travel wish into a responsible route.

This page describes an early idea for local pilot partners. It is not a travel offer, booking page or service commitment.

Older travellers with personal support walking towards Santiago

01 · Starting point

What xx-travel aims to solve.

The wish remains. A trusted route is missing.

Many people over 70 still want to discover places and fulfil long-held dreams. Relatives may support that wish but need clarity about companions, roles, availability and boundaries.

Marketplace and orchestration—not one provider doing everything.

xx-travel would connect travel wishes, qualified partners, local networks and transparent processes. Travel, care, medical and insurance services remain with the appropriately licensed and accountable partners.

Side 01

Travellers & relatives

Wishes, conditions, trust and human reassurance.

Side 02

Travel & specialist partners

Qualified support, transport, accommodation and clearly bounded professional services.

Side 03

Local network

Trusted contacts, local knowledge and coordinated help at the destination.

02 · Value

More than a generic group tour.

For older travellers

Autonomy, connection and confidence remain central. Personal support should reduce practical friction without patronising or medicalising people.

For relatives

A clear itinerary, named responsibilities and reachable partners may create trustworthy relief. The concept does not promise risk-free travel; it aims to make uncertainty visible and discussable.

Difference from generic group travel

  • A personal wish shapes the idea, not a standard catalogue.
  • Group size, pace and support are deliberately limited.
  • Local relationships complement professional partners.
  • Responsibility, consent and fallback plans are agreed beforehand.

03 · Santiago pilot

Ten days in October.

Start deliberately small

The first concept trip envisages ten travellers from southern Germany, one qualified travel companion and two nursing professionals. Santiago de Compostela is the destination corridor. Route, profile, accessibility, suitability and partner contracts require separate checks before delivery.

Local network coordination in Santiago / A Coruña

A local coordinator could pre-check trusted accommodation, transfers, food, accessible routes, reachable specialist partners and suitable meeting points. The role connects and coordinates; it assumes no medical, care, insurance or tour-operator responsibility without the required qualification and agreement.

04 · Safety & quality

Check carefully. Learn transparently.

Possible quality framework

  • Voluntary informed participation and clear expectations.
  • Verified partners, roles, availability and documented handovers.
  • Realistic daily plans with breaks, alternatives and exit options.
  • Fallbacks for interruptions and unexpected situations.
  • Data-minimising communication; health data does not belong on this website.

No safety or care guarantee

This framework is a discussion proposal. Whether a trip is responsible must be decided case by case by travellers, relatives and qualified partners.

05 · Market & learning

Start transparently. Demonstrate value.

Commercial model as a hypothesis

One option is a transparent xx-travel coordination fee, with travel and specialist partner prices shown separately. Scope, cancellation, liability, tax and organiser roles need legal and contractual clarification before a pilot. This website accepts no bookings or payments.

Care funds and other payers

Any support is service-, person- and case-specific. It is neither part of this concept nor guaranteed. Only the relevant payers and qualified advisory services can provide binding information.

Target groups and early channels

  • Travel-loving retirees, active seniors and anyone interested with a concrete travel wish.
  • Relatives seeking shared, clear responsibility.
  • Senior communities, advice centres and local networks—voluntary and consent-based only.
  • Qualified travel, care, mobility and accommodation partners.
  • Personal recommendations, regional dialogues and small information evenings.
Criterion 01

Delivered responsibly

Three pilots with traceable processes and no avoidable serious incidents.

Criterion 02

Positively recommended

Travellers, relatives and partners would credibly recommend the model.

Criterion 03

Chosen again

Repeat-booking interest indicates value beyond a single trip.

Invitation to local dialogue

Could a local partner help establish the trusted network in Santiago / A Coruña?

The first step is an honest discussion: Which partners are trustworthy? Which routes, accommodation and fallbacks work? Which boundaries must be clear?
